Where you at?

Hey! Remember me? Probably not. Been awhile, mainly because I've been working for the man every night and day. Seriously...at the office 8:30am to 9:30pm at the very least. Some days as long as 7am-10pm. woohoo. Then there's the fact that I've actually had lots of social events on the weekend....holiday parties, hot dates, and such...which lead to a hungover little duck, and the last thing I want to do in that state is stare at my computer. The good thing about the long hours is the project is interesting and the people are (generally) fun. I'm afraid I'm getting pigeon holed into a role on the team that I don't want, though. Hopefully I can break away before it turns into a long term project. We will see! The bad thing is that I get back from a 7pm meeting, ready to just be entertained by an email from any given friend or coworker...and there's no email. Because nobody else is still stuck at work and finding ways to procrastinate by sending emails.

Which leads to this...It's been a week of randomness for emails. Some good ole classics made it back around. Check them out...
funny fat guy......a classic from my enginerd days (Caution: contains foul language)... and a new one. Haha. Love it! I'm not really sure why I started getting so many of these this week, I've been able to avoid being bombarded for the past year, but maybe it's something about the end of the year. Who knows.

So my team had a debate today about repeating consonants in names and their utter uselessness. Example- Hillary. No point. Who would put a 2nd L in that name? It's just not needed! Meghann - another prime example of a wasted consonant. Totally ridiculous. We just don't get it and we've decided that escaping the repeating consonant (i.e. Hilary, Alyson, Mathew) is essentially like breaking the mold and changing the course of evolution. Brilliant.

On a totally unrelated note...Have I mentioned I LOVE Christmas?? I do. Absolutely love it. My place looks BEAUTIFUL and there is Christmas music on the radio all the time. I'm even listening to it right this very second (and probably still am whenever it is you're reading this). We're doing a secret santa on our team...$15 limit, and I drew the project officer. I can not for the life of me think of something to get him. Well I take that back..I thought of something, but then somebody blew it for me when they were joking about things to get. He really likes wine, very expensive, no, ridiculously expensive wine. Like $250+ per bottle. So I was going to get him a bottle of Boone's Farm. (and some other client related things) but somebody made a joke about that and now I can't! It was a good idea too dang it! I'm thinking I could go less funny and go with my actual favorite bottle of wine under $15 with the other stuff, but that's just not as fun. Any ideas out there???

Ok, just got a request for a report, so gotta get back to work. Hopefully we'll leave for dinner soon! Promise to not be gone so long! Quack!
