Basket Option 1 - smaller and darker. There are actually some lighter pieces interwoven that match my couch and floor pretty well
Basket Option 2 - lighter, bigger - more "pottery barn" in my opinion - again, the colors go a little better in person than they look here
Option 3 - neither! What do you think?

oh yeah - i prefer the 1st baskets.
so personally, i think you should go with option B. most people (and this probably means your guests, if you even have friends) will try to put their feet up on the lower level. this might not be the best thing to do, but most people do this kinda like second nature. the problem with the small baskets is that it allows people to put their feet into them if they try to do that. the large baskets don't allow any room for random feet to get in there.
isn't that such an engineer's response.
