This was a post I wrote the first week here (now week 3) and for whatever reason it never posted. So here you go...will update later on
-------
Wow, it's been awhile. I've been torn about continuing on with posts. Some business ethics dilemmas in posting certain thoughts/feelings about work, events and happenings in my personal life that I wasn't sure I wanted to put out in this space, and that pesky factor of a lack of time to do everything I want to do. But here I am. Mainly because of my new project and difficulties in communicating with those of you who read this.
Anyway, as evidenced by the title and my current location, I'm on another railroad project...CHOO CHOO! Only this time I don't have to drive over an hour to the client and still be local...instead I fly almost 4 hours! I'm in Canada eh? Oh man...that just cracks me up. Every time someone does the eh? i can't help but giggle. I'm gonna have to get over this. I'm afraid I'm going to start saying it though. that'd be funny. I threw out a y'all at the airport on Monday and got some funny looks.
Something that I'm really loving is that there is French on everything. I'm learning all sorts of new vocab words! Now I just need an excuse to go to France! (or maybe just Montreal). Their TV is funny here too. They don't have any of the current shows on, so no 24, Lost, Boston Legal for me. And of course I forgot to set up my VCR before hitting the road. At least Lost is on iTunes now! priorities my friends! priorities!
So besides the new project, my other big event was an interview at Kellogg last weekend in Chicago. I don't know what it is about Chicago, but I just can't go there without getting sick. I'm recovering from the cold I got on this trip. boooo. Interview went well I think, although I may have been a little over excited. It was one of those things where I could hear myself talking fast and excited, and I would think "slow down! relax! you sound like a friggin' maniac!" and it just wasn't connecting. I settled in a bit as it progressed, and the feedback from the interviewer was good, although that's her job, so who knows. The day before I was invited to interview for London! That's exciting! Still waiting to hear boo from the others. But I'd appreciate your prayers and thoughts of good luck.
